Yasmin Hurd is director for the Addiction Institute within the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health System as well as professor of psychiatry, neuroscience and pharmacological sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine in New York City. Her translational research examines the neurobiology of drug abuse and related psychiatric disorders, and has included seminal studies about the developmental effects of cannabis. She holds a Ph.D. in neuropsychopharmacology from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
