Vania Lacascade: The meaning of beauty is evolving. We're moving beyond age as a limit and embracing a new frontier. Longevity in beauty, powered by longevity science. 

Life expectancy has increased by over 30 years in just a century. By 2040, 1 in 5 people will be over 60. However, longevity only matters if we live those extra years in good health. At L'Oréal, we believe beauty plays a vital role in extending not just lifespan but healthspan.

Andrea Maier: Longevity science is advancing rapidly. We now know that aging isn't a passive process. It's driven by biological mechanisms that we can measure, understand and, in many cases, influence. 

Two of the most critical drivers, mitochondrial dysfunction and cellular senescence, affect how our skin and body age from the inside out. This new understanding is shifting the field from simply addressing what we see on the surface to preserving healthspan.

Anne Colonna: At L'Oréal, our 116-year legacy of unique expertise in skin biology powers our innovation. Thanks to our 4,000 researchers, we developed L'Oréal Longevity Integrative Science, a proprietary framework that seeks to address the science of skin aging at the cellular, molecular and tissue levels.

This predictive power enables us to predict the impact of active ingredients, alone or in combination, on the key hallmarks of skin aging. Skin is made of trillions of living cells, tiny building blocks that each work like a small factory, producing the energy and materials that keep your skin healthy and strong.

Vania Lacascade: Our Cell BioPrint diagnostic tool is a lab-on-a-chip co-developed with NanoEntek, a Korean biotech. The objective is to empower consumers to take charge of their skin health and influence their personal skin-aging trajectory.

We use a painless tape strip to collect skin proteins and analyze them within minutes, detecting biomarkers like the enzyme MMP1, which breaks down collagen in skin.

Longevity is not only a scientific revolution—it's a new paradigm. We are reshaping what beauty means. Not seeing age as a number but as a journey of empowerment and vitality.
