Should AI be in charge of education?
The fast-growing private-school network is handing much of instruction over to artificial intelligence. Would you send your kid to an AI-run school? Why or why not?

On the one hand, parents and educators have their longstanding antipathies for or against various things students should be exposed to or shielded from in school. Ideally, wherever they come down, they would be supported by formal or observational studies. And toward that end, what are the extent of formal studies in support of AI teaching models? And even with studies, there are surely lots of unknowns and improvements to be made. And how do profits and power influence new tech products as they are inserted into the teaching world? In the medical world, there are regulations for product safety and efficacy when it comes to drugs, devices and diagnostics. Not so for a new AI teaching model.
It is concerning that students are being used as experimental subjects, lab rats if you will. They will reap the rewards or get to experience as yet unknown consequences. Who do you trust, and why?
