Ella Dershowitz is a crossword puzzle constructor who has been published in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal and AV Club Xwords (AVCX), among other outlets. Besides wrangling tiny boxes for puzzles, she is an actress who has appeared in tiny boxes on film and television, as well as in slightly larger boxes at off-Broadway productions in New York City, theaters in the Bay Area and those throughout the Northeast. She is currently playing the title role in an off-Broadway production of Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library through January 19, 2025.
