Since the discharge of the chief examiner from the steam engine department of. the Patent Office, some months ago, many complaints have been made by inventors of steam machinery that their cases are not acted upon, while applications filed upon inventions 'in article's coming under different classes are almost immediately taken up and disposed of. We are assnred that this cause of complaint will be speedily removed, and we trust our friends who have cases pending in the engine class will use as much patience as they can, and we will do all in onr power to facilitate the Office in finding a capable person to take charge of the above department. The delay is no fault of ours. Have a little patience, gentlemen I Your turns will surely come.
